The Dashboard

The Dashboard is your home screen in Premiere.Studio. It shows all your projects, lets you create new ones, and gives you quick access to your profile and account settings.

Your project list

When you open the Dashboard, you see cards for every project you have access to. This includes:

Each project card shows the title, format type (feature, short, or television), and a summary if you added one. Film cards also display useful stats like page count, estimated runtime, and word count so you can see your progress at a glance; TV series cards show their seasons and episodes.

Filtering projects

Use the tabs at the top of the project list to filter what you see:

Creating a new project

Click the New Project button in the navigation bar to create a project. You'll choose a format (Film, Short Film, TV Single Camera, or TV Multi Camera), give it a title, and optionally set a target page count and summary.

Full details on creating projects

Project limits depend on your plan
Each membership plan has a maximum number of projects, and archived projects still count toward it. If you've reached your limit, permanently delete a project you no longer need (from the Archived tab), or upgrade your plan for more capacity. The Free plan also limits how many projects you can start each month, and deleting a project doesn't give that slot back.

Renaming and editing projects

To rename a project, open it in the Editor and click on the title in the toolbar. To update its summary, open Project Properties from the toolbar's More menu. Changes are saved automatically.

Archiving and restoring projects

If you're done with a project or want to clean up your Dashboard, you can archive it. Archived projects are moved out of your main list but are not deleted, and they still count toward your plan's project limit. To archive a project, click the archive button on its project card.

To bring a project back, switch to the Archived tab and click the restore button on the project card. It will reappear in your main list. The Archived tab is also where you can delete a project permanently.

TV series: seasons and episodes

TV series projects work a bit differently from film projects. A TV series is a container that holds multiple episodes.

This keeps all the scripts for a show in one place, making it easy to manage multi-episode productions.

Sharing projects

You can share any project you created directly from the Dashboard. Click the share button on a project card to open the sharing dialog, where you pick members of your studio and set their access level (can edit, can comment, or can view). To share with someone who isn't in your studio yet, invite them from the Membership page first.
