Production Tools

Premiere.Studio includes professional production tools that go beyond writing. When your script moves from the page to the set, these features help you manage changes the way the industry expects.

What's included

Scene management

Number your scenes, navigate between them quickly, and mark scenes as OMITTED when they're cut during production without disrupting the rest of your numbering.

Locked pages and revision colors

Once your script is sent to production, lock the pages. From that point on, any changes follow industry revision rules: new content creates A-pages (15A, 15B), changed lines get asterisk marks, and each revision pass is stamped with a color (White, Blue, Pink, and so on).

Character continuity tracker

See which characters appear in which scenes at a glance. The tracker flags potential continuity issues, like a character who disappears for a long stretch of the script without explanation.

Script reports

Get a quick summary of your script: total page count, scene count, character list with appearances, locations, and estimated running time, with each report downloadable as a CSV file.

TV series support

Create series projects with seasons and episodes. Choose a single-camera or multi-camera format for the series, and keep series-wide settings in one place.

Designed for the writer-to-production handoff

These tools are built for the moment your script leaves the writer's desk and goes into pre-production. When the 2nd AD needs scene breakdowns, the script supervisor needs to track revisions, and department heads need to know which pages changed, these features make that process smooth and professional.

You don't need these on day one
If you're still drafting, you won't need locked pages or scene numbers yet. These tools are here for when you're ready. Focus on the writing first.
