Notifications
Notifications keep you informed about activity on your projects. You'll know right away when someone comments, suggests a change, shares a project with you, or when an AI generation finishes.
The notification bell
Look for the bell icon in the editor toolbar or at the top of the Dashboard. When you have unread notifications, a red badge shows how many are waiting.
Click the bell to open the notification panel and see your recent activity.
What triggers a notification
You'll receive a notification when:
- Someone starts a comment thread on a script you created. The notification names the script.
- Someone suggests an edit to a script you created. You'll see a preview of the proposed change so you can review it.
- Someone shares a project with you. You'll see who shared it and the access they gave you. The project is already on your Dashboard.
- An AI generation you started finishes. Whether it succeeded or encountered an issue, you'll be notified so you can review the results.
You'll also hear about some activity outside your scripts, such as a new Logline Digest or upvotes and comments on your posts in The Lot.
Managing notifications
- Mark as read: click a notification to mark it as read. The red badge count updates automatically.
- Mark all read: use Mark All Read to mark every unread notification as read at once.
- Clear read: use Clear Read to remove already-read notifications from the list. Unread ones stay.
Real-time delivery
Notifications arrive instantly. There's no need to refresh the page or check back later. As soon as someone comments on your script, you'll see the bell badge update.
Toast messages
New notifications also appear as pop-up messages in the corner of the screen. Most disappear after a few seconds, giving you a quick heads-up without interrupting your work. A message about a finished or failed generation stays until you dismiss it.
