Your Account

Your account settings control how you appear to collaborators and how the app looks and feels for you.

Profile

Display name

Your display name is what other collaborators see when you're working on a shared script. It appears next to your cursor in real-time collaboration (shortened to your first name and last initial) and on comments and suggested edits.

To change it, go to your profile page from the Dashboard.

Avatar

Your avatar appears alongside your name in collaborative sessions. It shows the initials of your display name (or of your email, if you haven't set a name), so setting a clear display name is the way to make it easy for collaborators to identify you. Photo uploads aren't supported.

Your email

Your profile shows the email address your account uses. There is no option to change it from the profile page.

Changing your password

To update your password, go to the Security section of your profile, click Change next to the password, and enter the new password twice (at least 6 characters). Choose a strong, unique password.

Theme

Premiere.Studio supports two visual themes:

Switch between themes in the Appearance section of your profile, or with the sun/moon button in the top bar. The change takes effect immediately, and it syncs across your devices when you're signed in.

Dark mode for long sessions
If you're writing for hours at a time, many writers find dark mode easier on the eyes. It's also closer to the look of many professional editing environments. That said, use whatever feels comfortable to you.

Signing out

To sign out, go to your profile (or open the account menu under your initial) and click Sign Out. Your work saves automatically as you write, so once the editor's save indicator shows Saved, signing out won't lose anything. When you sign back in, everything will be right where you left it.
